Tanning Tips

  The process usually takes around 15 to 20 minutes from set up to finish. We provide a pop up tent so there is no mess and no hassle for you! Our solution is sugar cane based and the bronzing results can be seen immediately after the application.

Pre-Tan Tips:  

  • Shower and exfoliate. Use an oil free body scrub to exfoliate your entire body before a tanning session. Also, try to shave or wax at least 8 hours before your session. Avoid Dove products

  • Your skin should be clean and dry. Do not apply lotion the day of your appointment as some lotions may act as a barrier.

  • Skin should be free of makeup, lotion and deodorant.

  • All waxing, hair or nail appointments should be completed before your spray tan!

Post Tanning Tips:

  • Showering: After a classic tan you can shower 8 hours after your spray tan appointment, you are also welcome to sleep with the solution on- it will not overdevelop. Rapid Tan: The technician will recommend a time for you between 2-4 hours after application. You must shower the tan off in that time frame or it will overdevelop.

  • Water rinse is most ideal for your first shower. If you choose rapid tan, the technician will let you know when to rinse.

  • Wear loose fitting clothes after your session

  • When you shower, use body wash or liquid soap. Avoid bar soap. Do not exfoliate for the length of your tan

  • Nothing on your skin until AFTER your first shower (no lotion, makeup, moisturizer)

  • After your first shower MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE. The more you moisturize the longer the tan will last! Also this allows for even fading. Use a water based moisturizer.

  • Do not sweat or go to the gym until after your first shower

Sunless tanning formulas used for airbrush tanning  contain DHA (dihydroxyacetone). This substance, when applied to the skin, reacts with the amino acids in the top layer of your skin to produce a tan. Airbrush tanning is FDA approved for cosmetic use.

FAQ

How long will my spray tan last?

Your tan will typically last 7-10 days and fades similar to a normal suntan. However, length of tan may vary depending on how you care for your skin before and after your tanning session. Moisturizer is the main key to prolonging your tan. The more you moisturize, the longer the tan lasts. Ask about our products to enhance and prolong your tan.
 

What should I wear?

Attire for women is whatever you are comfortable with. The key is your comfort level. Attire for men is boxers, swim trunks, or shorts. Our tanning specialists use the utmost discretion.


How soon can I shower after an airbrush tan?

If you can sleep with it on, great! If not, try to allow 6-8 hours after your tanning session before showering. Ideally, the DHA application needs as much dry-time as possible to reach its peak.

Rapid tan can be rinsed off between2-4 hours after application. Technician will advise.


How and where is the tan done in my home?

We provide a pop up tent for application. There is no mess or scent left behind. We can do the tan anywhere there is a little space for the tent and an outlet. No hassle!
